Cronulla Surf Carnival Afloat With Record Crowds
The Cronulla Surf Club hosted its third annual carnival drawing over 2000 spectators and eight clubs. Events included a Thorpe Cup swim with Cronulla winning, tug of war by Cronulla, sack race, egg and spoon, cock-fight, and a notable brass band debut. The day featured a large crowd, new records, and a celebratory send off for Vice-President Reggie Monday.
