Is the Republican Party a Friend of the Farmer
A reader questions the Republican party stance on tobacco taxes and farmer rights. It argues the Senate refused to remove the tobacco tax, hindering farmers from selling tobacco in a manufactured state, and claims a bias toward the tobacco trust. The letter also criticizes the party for opposing direct senatorial elections and questions farmers in Washington County about party loyalty to the farmer.
