Road survey offer could win line via Lebanon Springfield
Springfield residents are urged to back a funded survey to secure a new railroad route from Lebanon through Washington county to Springfield and Mooresville. S. Roberts of Osbourne Engineering, recently back from a long survey, says the line could bypass Springfield by seven and a half miles but a paid survey may change that. He notes his company has built roads in multiple states and abroad, and the October fiscal court met to audit county claims and adjourned that afternoon.
