She was about sixty five, lifelong resident, widow of a prominent local man, Christian Church member, known for charity and service. She leaves sons James, Richard and Henry Isham of Mackville, with community condolences from The Sunner and readers.

Sheriff Osbourn appoints Jas Isham to fill the Mackville deputy sheriff vacancy after Powells death. Two applicants remained, Isham and Powell, a brother of the deceased deputy. Both men were loyal to Osbourn and enjoyed wide support among friends.
Dee Baker sold a mare to George Isham for 110 dollars. Nez Carey let a mare to W. A. Roberts for 150 dollars. W. A. Roberts bought a property at Taylor Roberts farms for 1300 dollars. Mrs. James Derringer is ill with grip. James Carey caught a mink last week. the hide brought 3 dollars. Dan Dugan moved to a newly bought farm from Ranels. Farmers sowed tobacco beds. Derringer has 27 chickens. W. L. Loa and wife visited Nez Carey on Sunday. Charlie Castion and wife visited Rose Hill at Levie Casey’s Saturday and Sunday. G. W. Young and wife visited Carey near Mackville Saturday and Sunday.

Judges voted Miss Francis Martin the best model presented by Marshall Duncan.
At a special city council meeting, Steve Thompson was granted a license to sell spirituous, vinous and malt liquors in the Veranda building on Main and Spalding. Several petitions protested the license while others urged denial or one-license compromise. Council members voted along lines with Edmonds opposing the license and others supporting or contesting the petitions.
