Breach of the Peace Verdict in Hal Edelen Case
A jury in Judge Latsey's court found Hal Edelen guilty of breach of the peace alleged by Mary Eliza Harris a sixteen year old girl. Edelen allegedly struck Harris at a July 31 party at his home. he testified he ordered the girl to leave after she sparred with his son. The same issue trial heard Joe Pope charged with breach of the peace. he was acquitted with defense by W. D. Claybrooke and prosecuting by W. F. Grigsby.

On last Sunday, Woodson and Mary Arnold hosted a surprise party in Boyle County to celebrate Mr. Arnold’s 70th birthday. Thirty seven relatives gathered after an early morning start, with a bountiful dinner and good cheer. Mrs. Arnold, blind for 26 years, was among those who enjoyed the occasion. she is mother to Mrs. S. M. Campbell. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren could not attend from Indiana.

Forsythe Funeral Arrangements Neared For Monday
Mrs. Nesbitt of Shelby county Ohio survives with two brothers Ernest and Samuel Forsythe of this city and two sisters Mrs Louis Rumsey of Colorado Springs Colorado and Mrs W R Woodward of Washington Courthouse Ohio. Mr Forsythe's body will be brought to this city where the funeral and interment will probably be held Monday.

Cooper Coomes a prominent Bardstown resident died last Sunday at his Chaplin area home from a paralytic stroke. He was about 47, a Democrat committee member, husband to a wife and father of three sons Murphy Clyde and Allen.
