The Mormon Departure and a Bride’s Strange Tale

A satirical mixed-page piece threads two tales. The first, a farcical riff on a Mormon marriage clan, follows Reginald Gloverson and his twenty wives as misadventures with funeral rites, mules, and a comic death at the graveside. The second, a fragmentary excerpt from a Trinidad Colorado Enterprise tale, recounts Reginald’s departure and the wives’ dramatic responses culminating in a grim homecoming.
