Old Tom and the garret tale of Janet in the Loch
A rambling home scene follows Old Tom the cat as he treks from mulberry tree to garret window. A grandmotherly relic speaks of Janet the fairy bride of Donel, a flax wheel maker, and her elf dance through old Scotland to a new world, ending with a modern social tract about marriage reform and a radical proposal to dissolve the marriage contract.
