Landmark Illinois bribery testimony on Iron Mountain sale

He cites figures of one million twenty thousand five hundred, and twelve hundred thousand five hundred dollars for three lines, alleging pressure to raise the price and claims of a graft ring involving Ben Farrar and McKay & Co. He recounts meetings at Planters House, office visits, and letters, with examinations by Col McGinnis and others in 1867.
