Polygamy in Utah and a western tale of Jane Roberts
A long narrative blends a Mormon polygamy interview with Mrs Benson and others in Logan Utah alongside a second piece recounting George Peabody’s philanthropy and a tale of a failed betrothal. The text covers polygamy practice, family dynamics, wives’ labor roles, and Brigham Young’s daughters, plus social observations on late 19th century American life and a Nashville Batonnie note.
