Work on the Memorial rink at Beausejour progresses with large rafters going up the superstructure. Cement and gravel were locally sourced. a timber permit for 30 000 feet of lumber was secured. Donations total 9103.39 by July 15 with gifts including a keg of nails and cash. a new fundraising drive aims to finish the project in 1948 49 with broader community and business support.
