Gas Wells on Alberta Farms Under Exhaustive Tests
Gas wells on the Free sland Ekiss and W Shewkenek farms drilled by Shell Oil Co five years ago are under exhaustive testing. Ekiss well tested all last week and shut-in Saturday while Shewkenek well remained active Sunday. Three new gas wells on the Mel Dipperley farm one mile south of Olds are also testing with Miller Trucking of Sundre hauling crude. A service rig is working on another well south of the Shell drilled wells to obtain production.
