Weekend Personal Notes From LAC DU BONNET District

LAC DU BONNET residents share weekend visits with friends from Morden and Winnipeg. Local events include births at Pine Falls hospital, a bear shot near town, and a car accident with minor injuries. Community activities feature a Halloween Dance November 1 at the Community Hall, plus bazaars and sales by church and Legion Auxiliary, with August or October-named dates and multiple local names.

Seven Sisters Weekend Visitors Highlight Local Stay

S. V. Caton and Miss Caton stayed at the Staff House as visitors to Seven Sisters for the weekend. Fred Ans and Bud Braund were home for the weekend. The crowd praised Seven Sisters with a cheerful remark about the place.

Mrs. E Holmes visits Mrs. P Cinq Mars for a week while Elsie plans England departure with RAF. Pinc Mars discharged after throat surgery. Eva is well again. The Noels take over the farm from retiring Noles. Good Fellows Club banquet and dance held October 21 at Whitemouth hall. Seven Sisters visitors named. Miss Jeanette McCall visits S R Ellis then returns to King George hospital. Ellis celebrate 21st wedding anniversary. J Craig returns from East Hawk Lake. Tom Mah joins Seven Sisters laundry. Infant son Donald Wayne Welz christened at Lutheran church with godparents Oscar Noel.
