Whist Drive At Municipal Hall Sponsored By Club

A whist drive was held last Friday in the Municipal Hall sponsored by the Community Club. Ladies first prize went to Mrs L Kendrick and consolation to Mrs A Cousins. Masons Visit Pine Falls Lodge by Winnipeg Brethren

Twenty five visiting Masons from Winnipeg joined Pine Falls Lodge on Friday evening October 11. Hosts greeted them on arrival, followed by dinner at the Pine Falls restaurant and a Fraternal Night in the lodge rooms. A lunch was served before the party returned to the city.

Hollywood Camera Captures Lac du Bonnet Girls

The Lac du Bonnet Foods and Nutrition Class was filmed by the Extension Service of the Department of Agriculture as part of a moving pictures project. The East of Winnipeg class was photographed at the Brown home with Mrs. Brown and helpers directing scenes of a dinner table, a tea, a tomato soup demonstration, and muffin making. The shoot lasted over two hours despite a brief five minute potential film showing, and the group hopes the footage will be shown in the coming year to highlight local youth work.

Teddy Anderstedt suffered a fall from a tree limb, breaking his left arm above the wrist and receiving care at Pine Falls Hospital where a cast was applied.
