William Zieske aged 90, longtime Greenwold resident, died May 7 at his home. Born in Poland on March 10 1857 he immigrated to Canada fifty years ago and farmed in Greenwold. Funeral May 10 at St John’s Lutheran Greenwold with Russell’s Funeral Home in charge.survived by widow Wilhelmenia six sons Edward Peter Albert Daniel Gus Manuel two daughters and twenty four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs Albertine Anderson were conducted Thursday at the United Church in Whitemouth. Rev William Steenson of St Vital Man officiated and burial followed at Whitemouth cemetery. Born in Langretten Sweden March 15 1885 she came to Canada in 1907 settling in Whitemouth district. Her husband died in 1940 she is survived by seven sons Victor Alberta Lou Bricksdale Hubert Arne Leonard Hugo and Holger.

Riders Escape Unscathed From Collision
An accident occurred on Monday May 5 on the highway three miles east of Beausejour when a 1932 Chevrolet driven by Edmund Rattai of Beausejour collided with a 1939 Fargo truck owned by North Eastern Flour Mills and driven by Edward Budnar. Damage to the vehicles will probably exceed several hundred dollars. No one suffered any injuries.

Pine Falls residents filled the Chateau Theatre for the first night of the Ready Made Family on Friday May 2 causing overflow. Laurence Frayne led saxophone solos during intermission while Rev. John E Hunter chaired. The show raised funds for a 15 mm projector for United Church Sunday School and featured a wedding subplot with Mrs. Martyn Henry Halpin and mixed family antics culminating in a happy ending.
