The Lac du Bonnet Board of Trade met March 7 at Casey's Inn chaired by president O F Bjornson. Minutes were approved and a new scholarship for Grade XI to XII graduates was unanimously approved. A committee will work with the Home and School association to administer the scholarship. Plans to approach the Air Transport Board on developing the local air field were set, with J S Sinnott M P to receive briefing. Parking sign increases were postponed due to winter conditions.

First Papertown Bonspiel For Ladies Held March 3 4
The Pine Falls Ladies Curling Club held its first annual Papertown bonspiel on March 3 and 4 with 16 rinks. Winners hailed from Pine Falls in each event and prizes included crystalware toasters hostess tables lace cloths cups and saucers and water glass sets. A banquet Friday evening honored the players with prizes donated by local businesses.
