The Extension Service of the Department of Agriculture will hold the first Farm Machinery Field Day at Eddie Sikora’s Brightstone farm on Wednesday June 25 starting at 1 p.m. Local tractors on steel and rubber, gang plows and more will be demonstrated with expert guidance and Nebraska-rated tractor tests. Lessons cover tillage practices fuel lubrication and maintenance to extend life and cut costs.

John Larson aged 74 or 75 died June 4 in Winnipeg at the home of his daughter Mrs Art Edwards. A familiar old timer in the Newcombe Riverland district he will be remembered by neighbors in Newcombe and Riverland. He is buried in Brookside cemetery.
