Local notes report an upcoming Tillage Machinery Field Day from June 4 to June 25 organized by the Extension Service of Agriculture. Two events are planned in Beauseaux area with field demonstrations on correct tillage methods, equipment adjustments, and selection for farmers.
Six people were confirmed at Whitemouth Lutheran Church on Saturday evening during a service led by Rev Porna. Families and friends from Beause and Wononines attended as the congregation welcomed the new members into active fellowship.
A new Community Improvement Committee is formed in Tyndall to promote village progress. The group names President Vanda and Vice President Weselak with secretary treasurer Kia, and lists officers including Leeppay and Weselake among its executives.
The Pine Falls branch No. 64 of the Canadian Legion BESL funds memorial ward for Pine Falls Hospital. Several charity events raised money, including a May 21 Hinge Night where Ben Hoyne won a TV chair and a coor prize unclaimed. May 25 Amateur Contest and Hobby Show by Minor Hockey, and a May 26 Turkey shoot by 6th Field Regiment RCE at Pine Falls Armories. If this momentum continues, ward furnishing may soon be done.
Pine Falls bowlers hosted a Spring Spiel with sixteen teams. The men’s three week total winners were Morochuk Thoma Wood, Thomas Roche and Walchuk. Consolation went to Bailey Hebert Hebert Hebert and Walchuk. Singles saw Fred Randall top men, and Al Hebert as consolation. Ladies top three week total was Margaret Ford earning 310.00 merchandise certificate.
Mrs. Dick Frances and Mrs. Hill Martin of Vancouver arrived May 26 for a month at the Martins’ Great Falls home. Hugh McNair leaves McArthur Falls for a Winnipes substation. Karl Sacheoan hosts a surprise party for Mr. and Mrs. Phil Metzler on May 25 as they mark 23 years of marriage. 4-H Food Clubs showcase May 28 with red and blue ribbons. Annie Arneson, Dorothy Warren, and Patsy Bracken eye provincial exhibit entries.
Phyllis Arne Bajus daughter of Mr and Mrs AE Bajus and John Sigvald Paulsen son of Mr and Mrs Paul Paulsen of Whitemouth were married May 19 at Fert urary United Church. Rev JV Shaces officiated. Reception followed. honeymoon in United States. They will reside in Regina.

The Pine Falls Five Pin Bowling League held a season windup banquet after presenting trophies. President Peter Hiker spoke of support, Fraser presented the Hayes Trophy to G Beaulieu team (I Beaulieu M Morochuk P Woodfail D Huhn), and W Johanson presented the Johanson Trophy to B Christie team (Lo Roemanow M Ford S Towler J Ro manow). Guests dined with St Theresa Guild ladies and danced to the Star Dusters.
At a Brokenhead School meeting a Broken head Dencross baseball club was formed with young Broken head and Dendross athletes. Officers elected: President John Hutniak Vice President Mike Tymchuk Secretary Dan Mosquin Manager William Ferens Coach Bill Biedler Assistant Coach Harold Ejilmes Equipment Manager Manual Biedler Bat Boy Leonard Molinski. The club will meet five district teams Stead Thalbere Green Oak Ladywood Cromwell and play Sundays across districts.
