Annual Good Roads Association Competition
Judges from the Manitoba Good Roads Association will assess member municipalities in the next three weeks to determine winners for multiple trophies across four provincial areas. Lac du Bonnet Area judges are J E McAuley H C Lewis and George Beverley. This marks the 62nd year of touring judges. The association notes strong Farm Home Grounds entries and introduces the Percy Beachell Trophy for the Good Roads Section alongside existing Kane Trophy for best overall Farm Home Grounds.

Farm Guides Now Available Manitoba issues new rental guides
The Engineering Division of Manitoba Department of Agriculture releases two new editions of Rental and Customs Charges for Farm Machinery to aid farmers and operators in calculating costs. They cover field crops machinery and hay, forage, barnyard equipment with added items like rock pickers and front end loaders. Agricultural Courses Increase for 1968 Farm Training
Fourteen 15 week courses to be offered to 280 farmers in winter. Joint effort by Canada Manpower and provincial departments to shorten courses from 18 to 15 weeks. Locations include Deloraine Erickson St. Lazare Brandon Oakburn Swan River and others. Twenty two four week courses cover beef and hog production farm business planning and potential dairy courses.
