Numerous relatives and friends from Winnipeg Hamilton Vancouver and Detroit spent time with local families. A miscellaneous bridal shower for Olga Novicki was held at Elma hall with 60 guests and gifts. Congratulations to William and Olga Zeweniuk on their June wedding in Sioux Lookout Ontario.

Obituary for Waclaw Jansa of Brokenhead Man
Waclaw Jansa, 86, of Brokenhead, Manitoba, died at his residence June 19 and was buried June 21 in the local cemetery. Funeral services were at the Polish Roman Catholic church in Ladywood with Rev. Father Latowski officiating. Survived by widow, two sons John and Frank, both of Brokenhead, and daughter Mrs L Lowe of Detroit. Renshaw's funeral home handled arrangements.

Mrs Ellen Donald Rites Held In Hodgson Manitoba
Funeral services for Mrs Ellen Donald of Grand Marais Manitoba who died June 24 in Selkirk hospital were held June 29 at Hodgson with burial in the local cemetery. She is survived by her husband J H Donald a C N R section man at Grand Beach and two sisters at Hodgson. Renshaw's funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Municipal Auditor J F Kehoe certified the village of Great Falls Manitoba records for the year ending 31 December 1949. Statements show cash receipts 6686.70 including taxes miscellaneous and interest and transfers from reserve fund. Disbursements cover school districts municipal commissioner culverts administration and reserve transfers. Bank balances show current 132.04 and reserve 889.54 with total cash in bank 5329.00 end of year.
