Julien Niegerdowski aged 77 or 78 died after a stroke about a month earlier in Beausejour. Born in Poland he lived in Canada over 50 years mainly at Brightstone then Beausejour retirement. Death of Gottlieb Hastman of Golden Bay

Gottlieb Hastman died January 14 at his Golden Bay home after a long illness. He was 73 and born in Poland arriving in Canada 46 years ago, farming at Golden Bay for 44 years. Funeral January 19 at 7 p.m. at Golden Bay Lutheran Church Rev Moertelmeyer officiated, burial at Golden Bay Cemetery. Survived by widow Mary and five sons Paul Otto Herman Alex Emil, four daughters Mandy Olga Edith Anne, plus grandchildren.

John Holden Rennie Dies on the Tracks in An Unclear Location

John Holden Rennie, long-time CPR employee, died suddenly on January on the tracks at an unclear location. A post mortem ordered by district coroner Mr. J Brook found heart disease. Burial occurred in Kenora on January 14, with the body sent by Nusseil's Funeral Home Beausejour and Brown Funeral Service in charge. he is survived by his widow.

Death of Frank Pearson longtime Lac du Bonnet resident

Frank Pearson an elderly resident died in British Columbia on January 10. He came to Lac du Bonnet in his youth and lived in the Hiverland District until moving to the Coast. He leaves five sons and three daughters with Mrs Mearson deceased. Burial was held at Riveriana Cemetery on January 21.
