Reeve J S Sinnott convened a special session with council on Friday August 25 1950 to discuss pre Ottawa emergency session matters strike issues and Korea. Manitoba Power Commission briefing indicated 59.2 percent farm electrification signups with 65 percent needed to proceed. six street lights proposed for the Ladywood highway. Drainage and ward project plans were approved and schedules set for fall road machinery use. Next regular meeting September 12 with Sinnott expected back from Ottawa.
