Manitoba Power Commission official F MacNamara told Lac du Bonnet council that no start would occur before 1953 for extending the rural electrification line about 1 1 2 miles into the Riverland district. The meeting covered assessments, land rights, and planned drainage works with several councillors present. The Court of Revision for the general assessment roll is set for October 11 at 10 30 a.m.
The Village of Lac du Bonnet council August 1 announced Winnipeg Electric will sell the retail power system serving Lac du Bonnet and nearby districts to the Manitoba Power Commission. Rates and service terms were outlined, with a plan to install three phase power and a street lighting contract to follow.

Miss Pearl Manko of Winnipeg visits at the Filipowich home. Steve Stastock, appendicitis operation, in St Boniface hospital and expected home soon. John Bazay visited on business. Sophie Misiurka of Winnipeg stays with her mother. John Krasnowski Jr heads to Brandon to visit brother George. Harry Pawlyshyn visited city last Thursday.
Possible formation of hospital guilds in outlying districts to service the new Beausejour hospital was discussed by the Hospital Guild of Beausejour executive on August 4. Mrs. E. A. Towle chaired. She resigned as president and will soon move to Winnipeg. contact Mrs. B. Larson for project information.
