Distribution of total paid advts and district representative filings at the office in Falls Pointe reaches across Pinawa Lac du Bonnet Great Falls St. George Pine Falls Bissett Manitoba Canada and surrounding areas.
Mrs. Joe Prette Whitemouth, aged 72, died April 21 in the district. Sons and daughters were at her bedside. Funeral was held at United Church April 24 with Rev. Wm. Steenson officiating. Burial followed in Whitemouth cemetery.
The Pine Falls community extends deepest sympathy to Alen McFadden on the death of his mother at her Emerson Manitoba home on April 17. She was 88 and a pioneer resident, widow of Dr H D McFadden former provincial secretary in the Manitoba Legislature who died in 1935.
A Ratepayers Meeting in the Municipal hall on Monday April 14 elected two trustees to the Whitemouth School Board. Karl E. Curry and William Henderson were chosen amid a fairly large crowd.
On Tuesday April 15 A St Pierre lost a farm building and its contents in a noon blaze. The fire was not discovered in time to save the one hundred young chickens, feed, tools and various items stored in the building.

First and second class projects will be displayed and culinary demonstrations by the girls offered. A Manitoba technical film featuring local girls will be shown. tea will be served and support welcomed.
Monday proved a great day for the Girl Guides as provincial commissioner Mrs J N Semmens and field secretary Miss Marjorie Hoskin visited. The group toured the school and progress impressed the officials. The town may form a Brownie Pack soon. Mrs Russell Waters captains the Guides with Ramsay McIntosh as lieutenant, then hosts welcomed them at Mrs J C Uhiman home.
Lavina Staerk elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Steve Staerk married Steve Wergeau son of Mr and Mrs Steve Wergeau Narciss Manitoba Apr 11 at Whitemouth South Lutheran Church. Rev J Judt officiated. Reception in Municipal Hall with ninety guests. orchestra included Tommy Melnick Reggie Webb Bill Dickie and Nellie Danyluk. Relatives from Steinbach Narciss attended.

The Pine Falls Legion branch hosted a Friday April 18 dance at Chateau hall with Eddie Franks and his Orchestra. It was their second Pine Falls appearance and the packed hall showed strong local support. A lunch was served and festivities continued into the early morning hours. Committee members were Bert Dimock Laurence Taylor Francis Kolesnick and Mike Bachynski.

Pine Falls ten pin league teams Solly's Country Clubs Electricians and Legion contested a close playoff at Chateau Alleys on April 24. Country Clubs led by J Munsie won with 3367 total, Electricians 3359, Legion 3243, Solly's 3036. Season ends with plans for a wind‑up party to be announced.
Cloverleaf Young People’s Club held a April 19 concert at Ladywood Parish Hall but weather and audience turnout hurt finances. A dance followed. a May 3 concert and dance are planned at Anola Hall.
The Dominion Bureau of Statistics reports the average occupied farm land value at 32 per acre in 1946, up seven percent from 1944 45 levels and 28 percent above the 1935 39 average. Prices for farm products and farming inputs offset the higher land costs, with farm price indices up from prewar levels. Increases occurred in all provinces except Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick where small declines were noted.
At a War Memorial Committee meeting held April 22 at Municipal hall it was disclosed that a $2,000 town donation will bring the memorial fund to about $7,000 to start proceedings. Drewle Bros. are preparing 100 by 200 recreation centre plans and construction will begin once approved. Public interest at the meeting inspired the committee.
In the 1946-47 season finale at Chateau alleys on April 23, Peter Souka led his high school team to victory with a 3682 four game total, beating Ernie Coote’s squad by 165. Edits list top finishers Palmer, Coote, and Ford, with banquet to close the season on Saturday.
