The Troubadour Male Quartet will perform Wednesday evening February 4 at Hall High School auditorium. The group offers classical and popular selections with violin and cornet solos and piano violin cornet trios. Each member has extensive training and experience with high grade musical organizations.
The Liberty Theatre in Spring Valley presents a major vaudeville bill from Chicago with five acts plus a photoplay Rustle of Silk starring Betty Compson. Hicks orchestra provides music as patrons rush to seats due to high demand and premium pricing guaranteed by management.
Mrs Hattie Mueller of Peru was granted a divorce from Phillip Muel ler in La Salle County Cir cuit Court. They wed December 1923 and separated November 1924. She cited cruelty and non support. Mrs Emma Knapp of Cedar Point was granted a divorce from Charles Knapp after desertion. They married in Peoria in 1922 and separated in 1923.
On February 2 1925 the income tax drive begins in the 10th Division of the Chicago District and runs until midnight March 15 1926 Deputy Collector C C Pervier will visit Spring Valley De Pue Ladd and Cherry on specified dates to receive returns and aid taxpayers.
A birthday party was held Thursday evening at Agnes Stermer’s home on West First Street. Guests played games, enjoyed luncheon, and lit a cake with ten pink candles.
