Four Hurt In Wreck On Dimmick Hill Route
Four Joliet residents were rushed to City Hospital in Ottawa after a collision on the highway east of Dimmick Hill. John Kleebs the driver suffered fractured ribs with lung injury. Soldier Dies 25 Years Ago in Spanish American War
In the 25 years ago section, Leslie R. Brown is recorded as dying aboard a hospital ship returning from Cuba. He was a brother of Roy and Charles Brown of Spring Valley and served in Company B Sixth Illinois. A monument in Geneseo public park honors his memory.

Collector says he was robbed by auto driver

Albert E Heilstedt aged 70, longtime La Salle hardware merchant and father of Mrs Ed Linnig of Peru, died at his home 1933 Sixth Street La Salle at 9 15 PM after a long illness with complications He was born in Germany and had resided in La Salle for many years, entering the hardware business in 1880 and remaining active until 1917.
