County TB report signals need for sanatorium funds

Miss Esther Fairchild reported 292 positive TB cases and 187 suspicious cases in the county at the Bureau County TB Association meeting held Tuesday night at Hotel Clark. The association opened a clinical dispensary in Princeton and plans countywide TB work until a sanatorium is provided by the county board, which has yet to fund the project with substantial appropriations or a special levy. The board previously allotted only 4800 for sanatorium purposes, and with rising county expenses, securing a dedicated sanatorium tax appears unlikely, possibly forcing a new vote this fall.
