Main Street to Get Electroliers Within Ten Days
City officials led by Roy Taylor and councilmen DeWolf Birdsall and Bjornstad secured funds to purchase twenty eight electroliar lighting poles for Main Street. Poles, similar to a previous five light sample, will span from the Earling hotel to Third street with heavier cross arms. Total cost is 41 dollars per stand, delivery within ten days, and McDonnell Iron Works of Des Moines handled the purchase. The Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul Railway asked for two poles on each side south of the track. Residents along North Main hope to extend the system to Hon. B. F. Felt's home once funds permit.

Gets Game Birds for Future Sport Near Cedar Rapids
Hon B F Feit received two pairs of Russian partridges last week from State Game Warden Lincoln of Cedar Rapids. The birds are intended to furnish sport for hunters after 1915 when it will be legal to kill them. One pair went to John Lacher farm and the other to O Hartin's south of the city.

Mrs Lettice Wade, widow of the late H H Wade, died peacefully shortly before five this morning after a protracted illness. Her son Charles Wade and daughter Mrs Earnest Ingold, both of Halliday, arrived yesterday and were with her in her last hours. Preparations have not been completed.
