Burley Family Member Dies After Illness in Des Moines
The obituary notes birth June 16 1853 at Manor House Thornton near Chester England to Samuel and Dorothea Burley. He emigrated to America in 1873, worked in Emmetsburg and Blairgowrie ranch, ran Burley Brothers stock business, lived near Des Moines, and died November 9 1013 after hospitalizations. He leaves two sisters in Ireland and a brother in Australia.

Death of Underwood Brings Community Farewell
Underwood died after a long illness at his daughter Mrs Alfred Ander’s home in Royal. Born in England he came to the United States about age ten and later married Lizzie Roberts. He leaves two sons and three daughters and other relatives on the home farm in Clay County. The funeral will be held at 1:30 PM at Royal.

Shirley and Krause moved their clothing stock into a new store this week marking the start of a fivefold relocation. Variety store owner Rasmussen moved into the building vacated by Shirley and Krause to gain more space and better facilities for now enlarged stock. E. B. Squire joined the Variety store clerks, and Miss D. B. Rogers will relocate to the old Variety Spore building after remodeling. Mrs Orth shifts to her own building, expanding trade, and PD E Mayne plans to relocate the Right Way Dry Cleaning Works into Mrs Orth’s soon.
