Members of the Swedish Lutheran church and friends surprised Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Olin in Lincoln township with a handsome buffet as they prepare to move to Spencer after thirty five years of residency. The couple, longtime church workers, will be missed but their service remains influential. A new home on East 6th Street will soon be ready for occupancy. Dedication of new Methodist church in Rithworn
The $20,000 Methodist church in Rithworn was dedicated Sunday. Dea Th Tritable led morning services and preached a fine sermon while urging subscriptions to cover a deficit. Evening funds brought total pledges to about 7,000 with additional gifts. District Superintendent Dr. McBurney formally dedicated the handsome new building amid crowded services.

Two Pioneers Named McNary and Groom Die in Fort Dodge
An obituary notes William McNary and Mrs Joho Groom, long residents, died in Fort Dodge after typhoid fever July 9 1914. Allen Rutter born December 28 1878 near Watcroa Tawi, lived in Spencer Barnesville and Fort Dodge. survived by wife Gertrude Moore and two children Ray Moore and Trene Catherine, plus parents and siblings. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Spencer conducted by Rev O M Bo with out of town attendees.

Mrs Green of Clay County Died After Prolonged Illness
Mrs John Green Mary Emma Hodge died at her home in Terris Iowa on July Sth 1915 after a long illness at age 55 years 1 month and 22 days. She was born May 33 1860 at Beaverdam Island Wisconsin and moved to Iowa with her parents as a child. She married John Green on July 8 1879 and lived in Clay and Dickinson counties before moving to Terris about twenty years ago. A devoted Methodist and philanthropic figure she died in faith with her last words mentioning Jesus. She is survived by her husband her mother four brothers two sisters and one daughter. The funeral was held at the Methodist church with Rev Thomas K Griffith officiating and interment at Spirit Lake cemetery.

Death of an Old Settler William McNary 67
William McNary death cited a veteran of the Civil War, who settled in Clay County in 1871. He homesteaded Riverton township, later moved to Spenver, then ran an implement and furniture business in Ruthven and Terrill with Verhaven for about 24 years. He died at home in Ruthven Friday July 9 1915 after years of poor health. Funeral Monday at M E church with Rev Tompking.
