A clipping from The Times of Twin Falls Idaho reports W M Spencer and Miss Carrie Bertch of Filer Idaho wed in Unis ity on Monday. Spencer arrived in November 1904 as an early settler and rancher near Filer. Bertch, a newer arrival, won friends with her charm. The couple planned a home on a ranch north of Filer after February 1. Friends surprised them at their ranch with a silver knives and forks gift and a pleasant lunch, and the gathering offered warm wishes for long life and abundance.

Frank Scharnberg and Caro Line Ott married February 1 at the bride's sister Mrs Amiel Scharnberg Waterford township. Mayor Fell officiated. The couple will farm near Everly. An exam for Census Bureau positions in Washington begins March 5, 1910 with applications from St Paul Minnesota.

A Good Citizen Dead In Spencer After 65 Years Of Service
John Andrew aged 65 years 5 months and one day died Tuesday evening February 15 1910 after months of declining health. Odd Fellows Knights of Pythias and Comrades paid last respects. Funeral Saturday at his residence with Rev O M Bond officiating and Riverside Cemetery burial. Born in Yorkshire England August 14 1849 he came to America in 1849 and settled near Dubuque Iowa later moving to Clay County then Spencer where he worked in farming railroad contracting and public service including deputy sheriff and city weigh master.

Secure Contracts Awarded by Board of Supervisors
At a meeting last Wednesday the contract for tile for the ditch in sections 4 and 4 township 96 was awarded to Cloete Lumber Company for 2005 dollars. The drainage improvement known as drainage district number 7 went to J. D. Winn and J. E. Maher as the lowest bidders at 1015.85 dollars while the highest bid reached 2100 dollars.
