Obituary: Myrtle H. Holmes Seaton Dies at Riverton District
Myrtle H. Holmes Seaton, born May 1873 in Washington County Iowa, lived in Deep River and Kansas before moving to Clay county Riverton township. A trained music teacher educated at Drake University, she joined the Methodist church and left four children, a husband J E Seaton, her parents, four sisters and three brothers as mourners. Her life was described as full of sun shine and happiness.

Mrs Mason Sanderson, an early Clay county settler, died at her son Lewis Sandersons home in Moneta last Saturday. She was brought to Maclay Monday and buried in Bur Oak Cemetery beside her husband who died about twenty years ago. The deceased was mother of Mrs J M Paxgott of Spencer and aunt of Alvin Sanderson of Herdland and T W Sanderson of Gillett Grove.
