Four Year Old Vernon Miller Killed by Tank Accident
Vernon Miller aged four years six months and twenty days, oldest son of Paul and Mrs. Miller, was fatally struck by a falling galvanized tank at Livermore Iowa. His parents and relatives traveled to bring the body home, with funeral services held Sunday at 2 o clock from the P M Miller home conducted by Rev Thrush. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. Sincere sympathy extended to the bereaved family.

High School Notes Scrub Team Holds Test at Union Hall
A friendly high school basketball game at Union Hall Friday pitted the regular team against a scrub squad led by Prof Grose and Robert Staples with Donald Reed and Charles Dickinson as guards. The scrubs led 16 14 at halftime. the final was 38 36 for the regulars. Walter Thomas joined the regular team and is a valued addition. Organizing a girls team is being planned.

Obituary for ITiram Walker in Linneis area
The funeral services for ITiram Walker were held last Wednesday morning at his son Geo Walker’s home. Born in Ontario Canada, he came to Linneis with his parents at age three and spent most of his life in Clay county. He married twice, first to Hinumis, then to Mrs. Tracy, both of whom preceded him in death. Six children were in the family, three surviving: Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Capstick in Minnesota and Gen. Walker in Spencer. He died after paralysis at Mrs. Capstick’s home in Virginia Minnesota on January 20. Rev Thrush of the Congregational church conducted the services.
