Judge Coyle Lecture on New Employers Responsibility Law
Judge Coyle spoke last Friday in the church parlors on the New Revolution. The law, to take effect July 1, requires employers to insure against injuries to workers. Iowa places the insurance cost on the employer, with a compensation scale for limited weeks. A cooperative insurance plan may emerge among employers, possibly raising prices and margins. The lecture offered a lucid view and ended with refreshments in a festive style.

Death of D C Wallace in Boise and Spencer ties
David C Wallace died suddenly of heart failure in Boise Idaho last Wednesday evening after concluding an address. He lived in Spencer about eleven years and worked with L H Moulton for eight. Interment was in Chicago. Mr and Mrs C Ki Samberg returned to Spencer from Bridgewater SD and took over the tailor shop Unique formerly run by Samberg and Arnold Anderson. Anderson remains in Spencer and will partner in cement work with his father Carl Anderson.
