Bread for the World plans regional meeting in Carbondale
Bread for the World will hold a regional meeting at the Carbondale Newnan Center 715 S. Washington Ave from 2 to day. Kathy Guy Midwest regional coordinator will address Africa’s famine situation and discuss current legislation on famine prevention. Church Names New Pastor in Murphysboro
The Rev Kevin G O Connor is named pastor of the First Baptist Church of Murphysboro. He began ministry on Aug 16. He and his wife Mary spent 14 years in Africa and the Middle East as overseas missionaries. He has since served as history professor college chaplain and church pastor and sits on the Ministers Council Executive board in the Great Rivers Region.
