Reagan vows steadfast budget cuts to balance the deficit

President Reagan plans a new round of budget cuts and a 16.3 billion package for fiscal 1982 while insisting on no retreat from the tax cut. Treasury Secretary Regan told Congress the administration will pursue further non defense reductions to bring the deficit down to 42.5 billion for 1982 and aim for budget balance by 1984.
