Refugee boat wreck leaves many dead off Florida coast
Survivors say crew abandoned the rickety 25 foot sailboat before it capsized near Hillsboro Beach, leaving at least 33 Haitians dead and 30 others rescued. Autopsies indicate passengers were loaded from a mother ship shortly before the disaster. The incident prompted immigration officials to detain four suspected crew members.
