New Evidence Links Carbon Dioxide to Warming Earth
Columbia University scientists report signs of a carbon dioxide induced warming in high latitude regions. Using regional melting patterns and Antarctic ice observations, they note a 2.5 million square kilometer reduction in summer ice from 1973 to 1980 and higher summer temperatures in melt zones, while Northern Hemisphere winters show mixed trends.
