Mobile dental clinic brings free care to Ava residents
Ava hosts a mobile dental unit from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in city hall parking for Ava residents. Operated by STC dental hygiene students and faculty, the three trailers serve about eight people daily, with checks for blood pressure and other health services. The Ava Medical Task Force seeks local practitioners and funding to attract a permanent dentist or physician to town.
