Fish co op wins moratorium to delay Pinckneyville loan
Prairie Land Seafood formed by Illinois Fish Farmers Cooperative got approval to delay loan payments to the city of Pinckneyville amid rising production and neighbor complaints about plant lagoon smells. The plant with about 40 workers faces interim leadership changes while contracts and oversight proceed. Monthly payments totaling 9,152.55 continue to accrue during the moratorium as DCCA sign off is anticipated.
