Catskin Days festival returns in Carrier Mills community effort
Catskin Days, Saline County festival in Carrier Mills, returns thanks to local volunteers led by organizer Cindy Murphy. Carnival opens downtown at 6 p.m. with a pageant, chili dinner, parades, craft and food events, and a goal to raise funds for a new fire engine. Plans include a pancake breakfast, school tours, dances, and a bonfire, aiming for a bigger crowd than two years ago and a return next year if all goes well.
