Former prison warden to face trial on homicide charges
Former Shawnee Correctional Center Warden William R. Barham, 47, waived a jury and will be tried today by Johnson County Circuit Judge Michael Henshaw in Vienna on reckless homicide and aggravated drunken driving charges. The October crash killed a Metropolis man. maximum sentence is 14 years. The trial was moved from Johnson to Williamson County previously to ensure fairness.
