Salukis earn playoff berth with late selection surge

In a tense room at Lingle Hall SIU learned they were the final team in the 16 team Division I AA playoff field. The Salukis will host Tennessee Martin at McAndrew Stadium on Saturday November 25 at 1 30 p m UT Martin is the Ohio Valley Conference champion and carries a 9 2 record. Standout players Lorenzo Wims Nick Hill Arkee Whitlock voiced relief at the announcement and the team celebrated finally securing a postseason spot.

Benton church hosts Thanksgiving dinner
