In New York on November 18, delegates at the United Nations gave a cool but studious reception to India's compromise plan for Korea prisoner of war repatriation. Teen thief returns most of $9870 stolen from widow
A teenage purse snatcher who found nearly ten thousand dollars in a widow’s purse returned most of the money after fearing consequences. Mrs. Wilma Gardner 58 reported the loss and later deposited the funds in a bank. A penciled note said the thief was scared and would not have taken it. The incident prompted Mrs. Gardner to call the culprit a good chap at heart.
