A hospital bulletin from Memorial Hospital Carbondale lists admitted patients across Carbondale De Soto Murphysboro and surrounding towns along with those discharged including Hill Carterville Klamp Marnati Earlean Fields Mason Muskeytown Hilton Makanda and many others. It also notes several births at Carbondale Memorial Hospital and a four day CPR instructor course at Southern Illinois University Carbondale running June 6 7 13 and 14 with a $20 tuition.
EMT Courses Set at SIUC Wilderness Center
Southern Illinois University Carbondale offers an eight week wilderness EMT course from June 14 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Touch of Nature Environmental Center southeast of Carbondale. Cost is 95 dollars with classroom and hands on sessions earning academic and continuing medical education credit. A four week refresher course begins June 23 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, approved for state and national EMTs. More information at 529-4161.
