Denali quake altered Yellowstone geyser eruptions study
A 7.9 Denali earthquake in November 2002 triggered a swarm of more than 1,000 local quakes near Yellowstone and changed eruption intervals in several geysers. Researchers say surface seismic waves likely shifted underground water and steam pressures feeding the geysers.
