Margaret June Absher, 87, of Herrin died May 28 2012 in Herrin. She was born June 20 1924 in Carterville to Victor and Nellie Ward and married Louis Angelo Absher on December 7 1941 in Marion. They lived a loving 70 year marriage and raised nine children while working at Modern Laundry Boren's IGA and the Illinois Employment Service. She was a devoted Christian, taught Sunday school, and supported her family with patience and hard work. Surviving are Louis Absher and children Jewell Hoffard Harold, Emmitt Absher, Frank Absher, Michael Absher, and Marie. Church and community involvement noted.
