Arkansas church reborn after fire and rebuild
Hopewell Baptist Church in Atkins Arkansas dedicated a new building a year after a fatal arson fire left the prior structure a total loss. The debt free rebuild relied on insurance, donations from 124 individuals across nine states, and extensive volunteer labor including Nail Benders for Jesus. Local and neighboring churches aided, with a $3,000 benefit by Sweet Home Freewill Baptist, and dedication speakers included former pastors Al Sparkman and Jeff Cheatham.
