Riots End at Three Prisons in Michigan and Nevada
Prison uprisings at Southern Michigan Prison in Jackson and a Nevada maximum security facility were quelled after hours of gunfire and tear gas. In Nevada 23 inmates, including Death Row inmates, refused order, while in Michigan 800 inmates caused damage and scuffles. 43 hostages were freed earlier, with one inmate named David Wayne central to the negotiations.
