Grain and soybean prices dropped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade with July wheat down to 3.70 a bushel, July corn at 2.92, July oats at 1.44, and July soybeans at 8.69 a bushel.
Eastern Cornbelt carcass prices fell across grades with 0.5 to 0.9 inch backfat ranges quoted. Today's Illinois Direct Hogs totals show 15,290 head with prices steady to 2.00 lower amid moderate demand and light to moderate offerings. Breaks shown for 300-400 lb, 400-500 lb, 500-600 lb, and over 600 lb hogs, plus boar ranges by weight.
