Army surgeon discusses Afghanistan tour at local extension
Dr. Joseph Rubelowsky, an Army surgeon who served at Bagram Air Base from October to December 2002, will share experiences and slides at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson County Extension office in Murphysboro. The free event, sponsored by Southern Illinois Healthcare, Somerset Clovers 4-H Club and University of Illinois Extension, aims to engage the community and support troops with free yellow ribbons from the Jackson County 4-H Federation. Volunteers are invited to help make bows and mail deadlines for military letters are noted.
